I am looking for the ignition product, that
allows a better spark, and also more economy and reliability.
I will use an overdrive to get more engine life
from the 12 cylinder, I would like to shoe horn in a TH350 with a gear vendor's two
speed overdrive. There is a bolt up kit for the Chevy TH350, or 700R4.
I can also order a bolt on kit for the General Motor's 96 amp or larger amperage alternator

Would like a setup that uses a manifold similar to my Edelbrock RPM Air Gap, but in a single plane design.

I have a cam, crank harness that came with my kit but no cam sensor. All I have is a three wire Distributor in the head of the motor and no crank signal, do I need a msd 6 cyl crank pu kit and a ignition enhancer box? Is my car Hall effect or inductive pu, and can this work, what's the best way.

Also rotating the engine 25-35 degrees backward the rotor lines up with the #1 terminal. With the engine running and timing locked at 10 degrees, my timing light says the timing is actually at 53 degrees. Did I install it correctly? I have encountered a little difficulty locating one of these units. I'm thinking perhaps they are no longer available. If not can you guys recommend something for this application or if the unit is still available can you reccomend a source for it. All of the Accel components I have purchased in the past have been excellent and I would like to continue using your products in the future.

| 99222 | 4/8/2004 11:15:34 PM | I replaced the stock injectors with new Accel 150832 fuel injectors. I modified the PCM injector constant from 24.97lb to 32lb to reflect the new Accel injectors.
With the injector constant changed for the new injectors my car has a hard time starting, this is not normal for my vehicle. My car has always started within one complete revolution of the engine, I could bump the starter and the car would start.
Now with the 32lb injectors the car starts like crap. I have to crank the starter for a minimum of about 6 - 8 seconds before the ... |
| 99218 | 4/8/2004 7:04:54 PM | I am unable to start the engine at this point. In my diagnostics of the ECU system I have found that the White/Black P1 - D11 Pump Relay has no power (no fuel pump). Do I need to replace the ECU or is there a program problem?
If I run the fuel pump from another source will the ECU still function properly? |
